Arts and Crafts Style built in 1907 Architect: Newsom and Newsom Cost: $6,500

Unique Arts and Crafts story and a half residence. A full pergola extends across the front. Rocks were used for the chimney, the pergola columns, and the winding walkway wall. The composition of materials and style give the house an organic feel. Perched atop a knoll - unusual in Alameda - at one time the house commanded an uninterrupted view of the Bay.
