Colonial Revival Style built in 1897 Architect: Fred P. Fischer Builder: Denis Straub and Son Cost: $4,200

This avant-garde Colonial Revival house has Classicaltrim, a hip roof, and a large gabled dormer. The shallow curved bay adds a subtle elegance to the façade. Notice the Corinthian capitals on fluted pilasters flanking the stained glass windows.

Known as the Bruton House for its first owner, it’s AlamedaMonument #30. Don’t miss the plaque by the front entry!
