High basement cottages don’t get much better than this. Foliate pediments point upward to a radiant sculptural arcade as the porch billows toward the street. The ornament on the facade, identical to 1627 Sherman, appears to be partially reconstructed, and a garage has been added beneath the bay. It served as a rental for many years but now it’s occupied by the owners.
