Stick Style - Built in 1878 Cost $4,000

This impressive 2 story residence is the oldest one on our tour. We have a lovely blend of Carpenter Gothic with elaborate carved woodwork in the gables and front porch “portico”, as well as the elongated sticks in the frieze band characteristic of the Stick Style. See the pictures above side by side... This is likely similar to how the “Tudor-ized” house at 1101 Grand would have originally looked like before an addition was made on its west side.
