This is a textbook example of the quintessential Queen Anne Victorian – a Grand Dame! The best way to describe a Queen Anne is Curvaceous! Look up at the gable and notice the ornamentation at the tip of each side, that "curlicue" is a signature detail by Shaner. Notice the left tower starts faceted with brackets supporting a flared out rounded version on the second story. Here we have an elegant glassed in front porch with delicate arched fretwork.
Comparing it to the old postcard, it hasn't changed much. Although it looks like an extension on the right side behind the porch is no longer there....
