This square-bay Stick cottage is one of the few pre-1890s houses in the neighborhood. The straightforward design and restrained ornament, including stick-like battens under the eaves, contrast with the slightly later work of Marcuse & Remmel. And although the square bay and top shingling resembles the work of local architect, A.R. Denke, this house was not designed by him.
